Vulcan prides itself on being a pillar in our community and giving back to our neighbors in many ways. Thanks to Denise Hallett, Ron Rino and Chad Hodges, the 4th grade students of Clear Creek Elementary were able to learn more our company, products and the many uses for minerals in their everyday lift.
After a day of visiting three separate classrooms, speaking with kids and answering their great questions, we switched locations and invited the entire fourth grade class to an in-depth visit at the Hendersonville Quarry. The kids were excited to learn about the mine during the visit and were awed at the size of the equipment we use daily.
Vulcan was very happy to visit the classroom, but nearly as excited as the kids were to visit the quarry as the attached photos show. Their smiles are wider than the pit.
